- I couldn't WAIT to tell you this... I did the "formerly" unimagineable yesterday. I trailered my mare and went trail riding with friends yesterday, TOTALLY stress free. When I started Parelli, that used to be my ULTIMATE goal. I have new, higher goals now but it just hit me when Missy and I were having such a great time yesterday. This used to be my goal... To be able to take my horse where I wanted to go and ride with friends in places I've never been. It was like that all day, trailer loading - no issues, going to someplace totally new - no issues, trail riding for 2+ hours - no issues. And "no issues" isn't giving it credit, my mare was happy, calm and super confident the entire time. And not to sound OCD but I even counted how many times I had to use my reins = 4 times. We all had a GREAT time. I expected to have a great time actually but gosh it's nice when my reality matches my attitude! I am so thankful to you, to Pat, to Jesse Peters, to MY HORSE who has taught me SOOO much. I'm humbled and grateful to you all for being such excellent teachers. I rode with the eagles yesterday.

I just got one of my Christmas presents to myself, the new DVD set Hit the Trail. I have so far looked at the first 2 DVDs. I can tell you they are worth the $ I spent on them. They are full of practical info from both Pat and Linda that haven't been on any of the past DVDs that I know of or it's info that has been on DVDs but scattered and probably hard to find. Now it is all in one location. Another point is in the past some Parelli forum members have said they have wanted to see Pat or Linda work on problems they have had with their own horses. On DVD #2 they are crossing a river which Jazz, who Linda is riding had never done before. Jazz is a young warmblood that Linda has been using in the Mastery DVDs. In the HTT DVD it shows Linda possibly being a little nervous but with the help from Pat's encouraging word Jazz & Linda make it across with just one little RB moment when Jazz steps in a hole. It is an outstanding set and worth having.
